NOB is correct re: 50-year-old Americans trying to hook up with 20-something locals. Forget it. You may be lucky and get something going but it would probably be a whole lot more trouble than it would be worth.

Better to stick to pay-for-play.

However, having said that, if you really want to hook up with a local, there are more later-30's chicas than you can shake a stick at that would consider a stable, decent-looking 50-year-old American. But they are far more mature and serious and usually have teen-age kids. The odds are that they are looking for something more than just a romp or two. In other words, objective: Matrimony.

Try Plaza Fiesta aka Plaza del Zapato, accross the street from Plaza Rio, another good bet would be Las Pulgas on Revo between 8th and 7th Streets.
