Logos???

I have been debating this possibility after someone brought up a post about uniforms. Yes, I would like to create a logo for promotional items, t-shirts, jackets, or whatever.

I couldn't believe how difficult it was trying to figure something out that is somewhat original, is somewhat industry related, looks nice, and would be easily transferred to use for advertising.

Would you be kind enough to share what you use or input as to industry Logos!

Dont worry so much about your logo being "industry related."

It should be something you like.

Mine isnt "industry related," but does go along with the name of my clinic.

I am with Greatttlakes - my logo makes my business very identifiable to the community, but really is not industry related at all.

My logo isnt industry related either. My logo incorporates a summer sunset and also was inspired by a Santana album cover. Everyone who looks at my business card remarks on how cool it looks.

I was provided an awesome opportunity recently, in that I met a "corporate branding" company.

Believe it or not, the "logo" can make a huge difference.

I have always been quite ecclectic. Never had a specific logo, and wasn't really into them. I always thought I wanted artsy business cards and the rest would follow.

Now, having met with this gentleman twice now, and we have a number of sessions to go, I see the real need for branding and getting a "logo". I also see the benefit of having a professional who is in the business of designing these items do it for you. It is amazing what this gentleman who is in the advertising business sees, that I don't.

I suggest searching the words "corporate identity" and "branding".

Thanks for the response... I have just been driving myself nuts over this! Mainly because I hate the "typical" MT logos, I don't need a butterfly, lotus, heart, frilly stuff - that to that to me just doesn't look serious for the profession. Some just merge their business name into a sunset, mountains, trees, etc. which still doesn't suit me. I have done some anatomical drawings in the past, so I am going to see if I can come up with something. Then I want my website wrapped around the drawing??? I want it so that I could put it on promotional items, t-shirts, etc. :roll:

Hmmmmmm you can see my logo on my website, it has been incorporated into a banner ad that the local paper designed.


My embroidery company reversed the image and stiched it onmy shirts for only $5/shirt or cap.

I'm working on using it on all my materials...gcs, coupons, biz cards, brochures. Hard to put in the ABMP newslettter, but easy enough on the brochures. Still working toward the all paper being the same. IE letterhead is different from gcs, different from biz cards. Envelopes...is that a viable expense? To have matching envelopes? I suppose so.

Yes, definitely envelopes are just as viable a business expense as your letterhead.
