You'd have thought that the local resort manager would have known enough not to get into a bar fight? hard to say about the rest of the entourage, movie guys frequently seem to be dciks.

I was thinking about that, you know since it sounds like the Thai resort manager guy was the focus of the attack, you never know what it was about really. Not playing nice with the taxi/tuk tuk mafia? Maybe fired some of the dudes that attacked him? Stole someones mia noi? Who knows, but the 6 guys confessed to attempted murder...and it was the Thai guy that allegedly was the target, so who knows...kind of interesting though and what is legally open at 4:30 am in Phuket town? I never go there so I don't know.

Which is far more likely the cause of this scrap. I've been having certain business dealings with so called hi so Thai and have concluded they are to a man a bunch of a55holes and so rude to everyday Thais and almost everyone else, need a good slap the lot of them!!!!5555

While I can't claim to have dealt with many.. My experiences with moneyed thais doubly so younger ones is exactly the same, using the language status systems to talk so rudely to service people etc that they really do deserve a slap..

Should also say met some older, educated, clearly well off Thais (my lawyer in cm for example) who could not be sweeter and less to that mold.. But status, class level, ego and face are huge here..

The fact the 6 low so staff are rounded up before breakfast.. And when one tried to speak at the press conference to put their side of the story, the pol captain silenced him so they could not talk to media.. Says a lot about how the equality of the law will be applied.
