lovvved first trip to patong!

hey guys,

i was in LOS for my first time for 12 days over new years staying in patong and i absolutely loved it!

one of u guys quoted: "tourists will be the last thing on your mind once you see the thai girls"- you were not wrong mate!! :yipi:

so anyway planning to go back to phuket in june and am also going to do the full moon party this time at kho samui. My question is what is pattaya and bangkok like in relation to phuket??? which one should i go to ? or should i go to both or maybe neither?

any info would be helpful cheers guys..

Of course you enjoyed your trip........as can be seen from your eagerness to return.
I've just returned after being there at the same time as you.......my 7th visit.......I'm not sick of it yet!

Pattaya is like Patong on steroids.
Some like it.......some don't.......but I'd say go and have a look and make your mind up for yourself.

Bangkok in my opinion is ok......if you're a fan of Thailand you should have a look there as well.

Fly into Bangkok, have a look around there for a few days and nights......then head down to Pattaya for a few days and nights.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I would say go to both Bangkok and Pattaya (as well as Patong). You will have a ball at both these places, especially being your first time. If you want to research these places there is plenty info both on this site and on the web in general...

Full moon parties are on Ko Phangnan a neighbouring island to Samui

Pattaya is much a more full on P4P place.....kinda like a BKK by a sea you can't really swim in (water quality is appallling)....if you like mongering you should go to pattaya at least for a few days to see what you think....it has loads of great gogos and some decent P4P nightclubs full of free lancing ladies

you probably wanna see the gogos in Nana Entertainment Plaza and Soi Cowboy in BKK....but the nightclubs are the best of the nighlife for me

IMO Pattaya attracts the more, shall we say, desperado's!

Its only just over an hour away from the airport so easy access. I reckon thats were people go who are really just into the p4p scene - obviously there will be some exceptions to that but generally i believe that to be the case, although there are some good golf corses there so mongering golfers love the place!

Phuket attracts IMO a more layed back crowd generally, you will see familys and many young western women holidaying there - pattaya is good for a week but out of the 2 id pick phuket everytime
