Hi
I've just this week (Monday) hurt my back. My son is sleeping in a big bed now - yay him - but he's in a bunk bed. I've put up a bedguard so he doesn't fall out but now I've really hurt my lower back. I can't take down the beds cos there's no room for them.
I'm in constant agony, I can't lift him or have him crawl on my lap. I'm taking codeine to help and ibuprofen, which I don't really like to take as they are not natural. I've also tried Deep Heat, ice packs, hot water bottles and nothing is making any difference.
I went to the doctors yesterday, and all he did was give me a piece of paper with information on how to lift things properly. I was not impressed to say the least - despite my concerns over the fact I cannot lift my son or interact with him properly. He didn't even suggest physio or an xray (which is probably not necessary but anyway) I feel like I've been looked upon as a whinging mother with a problem thats 'in her head'.
I'm perched on my couch right now with 2 large cushions behind me keeping me upright but it just hurts whatever I do.
Has anyone got any ideas on how to relieve my pain? I'll listen patiently to everyone!!!
Some healing would be good too.
