Hi all
I have some clients that have had lumbar spinal surgery such as fusions, discectomies & laminectomies in the past for stenosis, degen disc disease etc . Although the surgery was generally successful they still have some pain & discomfort in the lower back, glutes & legs & have sought massage for relief. I've found them to have a lot of scar tissue, limited ROM & generally very inflexible which makes prescribing exercises/stretching difficult.
If anyone has had any success treating post lumbar surgery clients such as mentioned above I'd appreciate some advice or input on your approach, techniques used or outcome.
Thanks
Oz
