Macular Degeneration

My client has been diagnosed with Macular Degeneration.
I have an appointment with her next week and she stopped in yesterday to ask me to address this in our session.
I was kind of surprised! So far this is the most unusual condition that someone has asked me to "treat".

Anyway - she evidently has been doing some reading and wanted me to use some acupressure techniques. I was unfamiliar with using acupressure specifically for this condition.

In addition, I did mention craniosacral therapy and gave her a client brochure on that, since she said she had never heard of it.

Cranio-Sacral Therapy does not have any specific treatment methods for any condition.
It's purpose is to free restrictions in the cranio-sacral/cerebrospinal system thereby improving the overall functioning of that system - and overall health of the recipient.
(I thought that you were familiar with CST? - or are you just playin' with me? )
The same is true of traditional Acupuncture - although the clients themselves seek it out to "treat" a specific symptom or condition.

I have NEVER told a client that I am "treating" or "fixing" a condition like this.
As I said...we'll see...
because this is a non-reversable, long term condition, I can't imagine dramatic, if any, measurable results...however, I KNOW that I can do work which is supportive of the CS, lymphatic, and circulatory system. and that is all good stuff!

I am familiar with the basic premise of Craniosacral Therapy (CST), but not enough to know whether it has specific recommendations regarding the treatment of various ocular conditions. That's why I asked.

I have previously been certified to teach Circular Strength Training (CST), and that has probably lead to some confusion. Instructors of that fitness method use the designation "CST", and it used to be part of my list of current credentials. I still highly recommend the method, but have been too busy to renew that certification. (I'd love to do so, though!)
