GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A massage therapist at a Grand Rapids spa who allegedly inappropriately touching a client has agreed to a plea deal.
Lance Martinez entered a no contest plea to a fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct charge for allegedly inappropriately touching a client at Massage Green Spa. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for July 28.
The Kent County Prosecutor’s Office has agreed not to file further charged connected to the complaint.
The 25-year-old alleged victim, who asked not to be identified, told 24 Hour News 8 she was trying out several massage therapists at the spa, which is at the Shops at Centerpointe off 28th Street near the East Beltline. She said during her third session with Martinez he touched in places extremely close to her private parts.
Martinez is not the only massage therapist at the Massage Green Spa charged with criminal sexual conduct. John Ashby is charged with third-degree CSC for allegedly using force or coercion to accomplish sexual penetration. He was arraigned in March.
