By MaltaMedia News
Dec 22, 2006, 18:00 CET
The Police Commissioner John Rizzo presented a counter-protest in the First Hall of the Civil Court on Friday, in response to a judicial protest filed by five companies owning various entertainment establishments on Thursday. A number of dancers employed in establishments belonging to companies, Three Sixty Limited, AO Operations Ltd, Falcon Leisure Ltd, Friends for Entertainment and RDVM Ltd, were arrested by Police.
The companies insisted that the dancers employed in their premises did not commit a criminal offence, and are hence insisting that they were charged unfairly.
The companies also pointed out random searches are regularly taking place in the establishments, effecting business in the process. The companies added that no mandate is being presented during these searches.
Through a statement, the Commissioner denied the allegations set forward in the establishments
