Marketing Coupon Book??

I have the opportunity to advertise for free! I just need a few opinions and ideas. I am excited about this as the book is a fundraiser and features about 40-50 businesses. (I bought the last issue and it's soooo great, I use it everywhere - dining, retail, bridal, fitness, etc) Local schools and groups sell the book around town. Every business gets their own page and 6 coupon spots on that page. They really like the FREE option to be used for at least one of the six coupons on my page. I REALLY want to do this as it's free, and I talked to another therapist that advertised in the same book but in a different town and she said she has gotten lots of clients in from it, and made repeat clients out of them AND is booked out about 2 weeks and she is new to the massage business world. Anyway, I am wondering what you would put as your coupons? The 6 she has listed are 1/2 off any massage, free 12 min chair massage (I can't do this however, as I don't have a chair), $15 off Hot Stone (Also I don't do hot stone but DO have Salt Glow), $35 for a one hour massage, 20% off Traveling massage, 2 one hour massage for $80. Those are some ideas as to what I am looking at or have to work with right now. As I said I am looking for some ideas, and your opinion, maybe you don't think this is a good idea, but Coupon ideas and opinions is what I am looking for in the next 24 hours as I want to let them know tomorrow if I will do it so I can be the only massage therapist in the book! Sounds like a great opportunity - free exclusive advertising is uncommon, especially when it's done well. The examples you cited sound very attractive, but take a moment to consider what your main goal is. Are you looking to mainly bring in new clients, to increase the frequency of your existing client base, or to promote one or more specialty services? Make sure you know what you most desire, make it the top priority, and tailor your ads accordingly. Since you have room for 6 different offers, you can try several approaches at once and see how people respond. Track which offers get the strongest response and use that to advaneforum.xxxe in future advertisements.

I would also think about expiration. Do or can these coupons expire? That might make a difference in what approach you take. Or could all six be used at different times? Such as: coupon #1 good for the month of October, coupon #2 good for the month of November, etc.

Oh- you may also want to have something on the coupon that states it is not good or cannot be combined with any other offer, no cash value, etc.

Some ideas:
FREE 30 minutes added to any 60 minute session.
FREE 15 minutes added to any 60 minute session.
$10 off a 60 minute session. (New clients only).
1/2 price on any length session. (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday before 2 p.m.)
Bring a friend! Two 30-minute sessions for ONLY $49.95! (Must be back to back sessions for two people. Valid Thursday and Friday between 10 and 4 p.m.).

GREAT IDEAS! Thanks! And the place that puts the book together automatically puts a 1 year expiration date, which I think is not negotiable so I'll deal with it... cuz it's free advertising, and they all do say that it can't be combined with any other offer and you can use only one at a time and all that. Thanks for the heads up though!
