FOURTEEN PEOPLE CHARGED AT MARKHAM BAWDY HOUSES
The York Regional Police Drugs and Vice Enforcement Bureau conducted criminal code search warrants at
two Town of Markham massage parlours. Seven women and seven men were charged with bawdy houserelated
offences.
On Friday, May 6, 2005, officers entered Executive Spa, located at 450 Alden Rd and Healing Hands, located
at 505 Hood Rd, after conducting an investigation which led officers to believe the establishments were
operating as illegal fronts for prostitution. As a result of the search warrants the following arrests were made.

It really doesnt matter if they are licensed or not if the LE want to hit a place, they will. All of us think that a license will protect us! think again.

Right now I'd feel safer going to an unlicensed spa, and as an operator running an unlicensed spa. The spin going around the city, fueled by the media is that the license revenue collected from these MP's is like the city(s) are in the sex trade.

These two places are owned by the same person. Markham must be having municipal elections coming soon in that area.
