Massage chair moves

Hi,  I feel almost like I know a lot of you just from reading your postings.  This is great!  I just bought  an onsite massage chair.  I plan on using it mainly for promotional purposes. (I live in a remote area and I thought it would be good to let people experience massage in an open atmosphere.)   There are several videos out there, does anyone know anything about them?  Which ones give the most information for the price?  Does anyone have any "special moves" that really enhance the experience?  Sure appreciate any replys.

Wander the library, book store or web and I'm sure you'll find an appropriate book/video that outlines a protocol for your chair massage.  Also, work on it and you'll discover even better ways to utilize it on your own.  I just wanted to highlight that many therapist tend to use their hands/fingers too much and overwork themselves during chair massages vs. table work where we are very conscious of our body mechanics and self-preservation.  Be sure to find reference materials that utilize elbows, forearms, etc.  Be careful and good luck.  Joe E.

I took a great chair massage class and we used two Japanese Anma chair massage books...I can't think of the name right now...but I'll try to find them in my SUPER DISORGANIZED closet.  It had great pictures, focused on appropriate body mechanics, and had really innovative techniques.  If I can describe them well enough...I'll share.I love standing at the client's head, off to one side or the other, to address the traps.  Lets say I'm working on their rt traps...so as I face the client, I am standing off to the left.  With my rt arm bent at the elbow, I place my rt forearm on their rt trap and use a sort of rolling motion so that I am going from pronation to supination.  With each pro to supination, I inch closer and closer to the neck.  It feels wonderful to receive and it sooooo easy to do.  At areas of greater tension, you can just hang out, directing your intent downward through their body while working with the client's breath.  OK...that was long.  Let me know if you can visualize that one...and I'll share another of my favorites which is more difficult to describe.
