massage in the mall

I was out of town the other day and saw several chair massage kiosks in the middle of one mall. I was wondering if any of you guys do this or have any input on the subject.

My other question is do you think having a massage studio in a mall would be a good idea. Not a kiosk but an inline store that has seperate rooms for massages and a professional apperance. I have the option of getting a place next to high traffic hair salon so thats a plus.

I don't have anything like this in my business, but I did have a massage done at one (kiosk space). It was the best chair massage I ever had and even sparked more of an interest for me to offer it in my own business.
They were very busy and had a great looking setup at a very busy mall.
I think it would be a great idea.

As for mall space, from what I understand it can be a lot of money to rent space. I would weigh the pros and cons and investigate what type of interest is in the area you want to set up. I don't know of any mall that has an in mall store for massage.

There is a massage outfit on Staten Island called Cloud Nine. Year ago they were in the SI Mall. They then moved to a small office. Last I read they had a place in a new hotel in SI called the Hilton Gardens. They still have their smaller shop. You could contact them and ask how it was in the mall.
