Massage Music - Any violin recommendations?

Lately I've been really wanting to get some relaxy violin music for massage, but I've been having problems finding any.
After a google & amazon.com search, this is what I've found:

I haven't heard either of those, but one I like that has plenty of violin/cello is Michael Hoppe's "Afterglow." Always a winner.

I have several clients who LOVE classical music during their massage and I found a great Cd set "the Ultimate most relaxing MUSIC FOR STRINGS in the universe" ( this is how they had it printed on the cover)

While it isn't 100% violin, the majority of it is. And everyone loves it so far. I see on the denon website that they do have one that is all violins...

I don't have any solo violin, but I do have some duets of piano & violin, which I love:

1. Intouch by Jim Oliver
2. Numerous CD's by the duo, "Secret Garden"
3. I also second the recommendation of Afterglow, even though it's Cello & alto flute, rather than violin. It's some of the most beautiful music ever made!

"Voice of the Violin" by Joshua Bell is great. It's not solo violin, but it's still worth the price of admission. All of his music is good stuff.

Secret Garden, Secret Garden - the group and the CD.

That particular CD has some lovely violin on it, but you may have to rip and move it around to get a full hours worth off that CD. It is mixed with some music that is not so "relaxy".

I took the CD apart ot make it into what I wanted for my massage.

Thanks for that correction Blisss! I figured I might be wrong about the instruments....I think I probably always mistake cello for violin, since to me they are both similar. Cello is deeper, right?

Hmmm, any recommendations for cello? (or does that belong in another thread?)

i never heard of the two you mentioned. they seem interesting.

i just checked out a cd from the public library.

simple gifts
instrumental arrangements of shaker melodies

these songs are very pretty, and a little different. it is not strictly violin, but also has cello, mandolin, mountain dulcimer, flute, irish harp and some more. i guess the songs are religious, but there are no lyrics, so hopefully wouldn't offend anyone.

a couple of songs are a little happy. upbeat. but i didn't find it annoying, i don't feel the urge to work to the beat, and i am including it in my rotation.

I love working to the music, and have found that when it gets a bit too upbeat, if i work at half time (or quarter time, if need be) it is perfect.
