A 55-year-old woman is facing a prostitution charge after the Leon County Sheriff's Office said she offered to perform a "sexual act" on an undercover detective.
Gendi Li, an employee at the Health Center, a massage parlor off Killearn Center Boulevard near Capital Circle NE, faces charges of prostitution and practicing a massage without a license, both misdemeanor offenses.
LCSO's VICE Narcotics Unit and the Florida Department of Health have received several complaints of illegal activity at the business. On Friday, the undercover detective walked into the parlor, where Li "offered to perform a sexual act in exchange for payment," LCSO said.
LCSO siad Li does not have a DOH license to practice massage. She was arrested and taken to the Leon County Jail, where was released on Saturday after posting bail.
It's not the first time a Health Center employee has been arrested.
In August 2014, federal, state and local authorities ran an undercover operation at the parlor after receiving reports of possible prostitution and human trafficking, court documents said.
Xiaoyan Tian, 52, an unlicensed massage therapist, was arrested after she performed a massage on an undercover LCSO detective. She was charged with practicing massage without a license.
