If you keep walking west (away from the boarder) Mermaids on 8th often has a nice selection. It's next door to a hotel so, you take get a room with a bed instead of doing the deed on a table. Generally a place to investigate.

However, it isn't in a safe area, so be careful there, espeically at night. (If the cops see you there they will think you're trying to buy drugs as the area is filled with drugies.)
