OK, you're right. I guess what I am trying to say -
if I am in a gym and get a massage from some surley 250 pound guy,
or if I get a massage in a spa that offers mud packs and salt rubs,
or if I am in a hotel and am using a hotel provided masseuse,
or if my health insurance is paying for any part of the massage
I wouldn't even think about getting extras.
But,
If I go to a massage parlor or an independent masseuse where its obvious the massage isn't really that professional or the attendents are attractive or dressed provocatively, or there is nudity or its an Asian Massage Parlor then I absolutely expect extras.
Some true examples: my first massage experience was outside an Army Base in the south in 1969. Attractive women (all wearing lab coats) would give a very quick back rub and a hand job for a basic fee. There was no nudity and no touching (at least I think, I did not have the sense to ask or to even know about possible extras.) The key here was that they were all very attractive. They always asked if we wanted a "manual relief."
In England I went for a "naturist massage" The woman had a massage table in a room in her house where she lived with her husband. She gave me a brief interview explaining that there was nothing sexual going on that the whole point of both being nude was to equalize us. Then after the massage started she told me not to be embarassed if I got excited, and if I did would I like her to resolve the problem. I said yes and then there were several available extras. The nudity here was the key. It reminded me of a girl I once knew who whould always say, "If I'm going to be naked, I might just as well fuck."
In Florida several years ago the key words in the advertising were "stress relief." That always indicated something was available. I remember going to a MP near Clearwater, very strange advertising all the ads said were "Take a chance, relaxation and stress relief." The woman was in her 40's and actually did the massage wearing latex gloves. I was thinking it was a straight place until I realized she was wearing a mini shirt and kept rubbing my arm with her thighs. Once I put my hand on her butt she felt free to give me a hj.(with the gloves on)
So yeah, you are right that there are places other than a RMT that dont give extras. I also just found out that there are CMT's, Certified Massage Therapists that are a little lower on the training scale than RMT's, that also are concerned about maintaining their license. But I think that using the criteria above one will pretty much know if they are going to get whacked or not.
