VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A Vancouver massage provider has been charged with sexual assault and police are concerned there may be other victims.

The investigation began last month when a 31-year-old woman came forward saying she was assaulted at the ToeToSoul Relax Lounge on Broadway near Heather Street.

Cst. Steve Addison says the woman contacted police shortly after the incident happened.

“She came forward to tell us that she believed that she had been sexually assaulted while receiving a massage treatment at this business on West Broadway.”

He says police eventually arrested 61-year-old Amado Ramos, who is currently free on bail.

“We’re confident that he had numerous contacts with members of the public, and if there’s anybody else out there who feels they have information or feels that they have been victimized, we welcome them to come forward to give us a call so that we can investigate thoroughly.”

The VPD’s Sex Crimes Unit is involved in the investigation and Addison says police are in touch with the owner of the lounge and they are cooperating.

Last month, another massage provider was arrested and charged with sexual assault after an appointment at a client’s home.
