Massage Spa Schedules Solution

I've been working on an online solution for some of the spas that don't have access or the resources to have a web person to call upon once a week to update their schedule or whenever they need to make changes.

The solution came about after I had done a few sites for local spas and neded a way to let them update their schedules since they were contacting me almost daily with changes. So I figured out a solution to let them update their schedule and not have to teach them HTML in the process.

Anyhow Steeles Royal in Brampton was the guinee pig in the process so mircron their owner would have the testimonial as to it's ease of use etc... I programmed it so it's going to be easy for me.

Basically what it does is lets you fill out the weeks schedule by for and will let the person updating it do a weekly schedule in advance up to Jan of 2024. then with a peice of javascript you throw in your site lets you show the schedule with real-time updates.

Now the reason for the post... how many spas are hoding out on their schedules for that very reason that it changes often and doesn't have the resources to change it constantly?

I can't offer the solution completely free but am thinking of incorporating it into the listings for http://www.erotic-massage.ca so that when when you reister the listing with the spa you could from there, edit a schedule and post the javascript on your site to display the schedule ... screenshot of the input screen here http://www.dcww.ca/sche_scr.gif

So some input and feedback would be usefull before undertaking a project like this as to how many spas are interested in something like this.

Dave's solution is better but I made one too.

Mine works as a local program. Its allows you to update your schedule in about 1 min while Dave's take about 3 while mine does some sorting and wont allow duplicates.

Once you are done you have to manually copy the html table into your schedule page then upload it. (Edit:This takes about 4 more minutes) Since Dave's solution is web based this is taken care of.

opening a program, entering the info and copying to your page, then FTPing to your site uses a lot more than 1 minute Romeo ... Even I'm not that quick. But your idea does allow the user to paste the info into their own page. Something I haven't yet added to the script. But it's there if I add a variable.

That was the whole point of why I came up with the solution, so the user doesn't have to

log into their site
get the page
find the HTML to update
make the changes to the page
then put it back onto the site.

My idea....

Log in
put the names on the Schedule for the given week

if the javascript's on the page, the update is done. It'll even let you do the schedule in advance and go away for 2 weeks as the schedule automattical moves to the following week at the appropriate time.

The whole point of the solution was to eliminate the need to know html, FTP, or have a program, the solution works wherever you have internet access and know your login info.

I'm the owner /guinee pig Dave is talking about,and what I have to say about this program is "IT'S GREAT!"
I have the previledge of changing the schedule at any moment any where (on any computer)
Example: I hired a new girl on friday and while she was in my office I was able to put her on schedule for the following day.
Another example ;an attendent(Jorden )called in this morning and said she can't make it in for her shift tonight ,I was able to remove her name and add another attentent -VERY EASLY

Good work Dave. Being a fellow 'techie' (not geek) I also have scheduling woes. Luckily mine isn't web-based not do I have the challenges that face the spa owners. It looks like you made it easy to use and that's the key....

I incorporated it into the listing system for the site and you may get a better idea of it if you get your hands dirty with it.
