Three women have come forward and police believe there may be more victims.



SAN DIEGO — Three women say they were sexually assaulted while getting a massage from Scott Christopher Preston, the owner of 360 Wellness and Consulting.


San Diego police spoke about the arrest Tuesday afternoon to alert the community. Detectives believe there may be even more victims out there. CBS 8 also confirmed that Preston has been working at UC High School as a football coach.


“At this point, we have three victims,” said SDPD Lt. Dan Sayasane.


Preston, who went by the name Chris, was giving massages out of a now vacated spot in the Miramar area. Police say concerns about his behavior were first reported to them in August of 2023.


“The detective working on the case spoke with the victim at that time and she was moving out of state,” Lt. Sayasane said. “She didn't want to move forward with prosecution.”

He said they got a second complaint in December from another woman who also didn't want to press charges, and then in April a third woman came forward.


“A female reported that she was sexually battered, groped at this particular business” Lt. Sayasane said. “Our detective saw the similarities in the cases and saw the suspect, alleged suspect, was the same person and put all the cases together.”

Preston was arrested near the campus at UC High on Wednesday and now faces five felony charges. Police say he advertised his services with a deal on Groupon so he had a lot of customers, leading to concerns that there could be more victims.


“Since the suspect has been operating this type of business since 2018, we felt that there might be possible other victims out there and we'd like those people to come forward if they are involved in this.”

Lt. Sayasane also said Preston never should have been selling massages in the first place.


“Nothing on our records shows that he is licensed,” he said.

University City High School’s principal sent a note to parents Tuesday confirming Preston's arrest and added, "The employee has been placed on unpaid leave and is no longer associated with our school."
