A massage therapist convicted of sexual assault earlier this year now faces a new allegation of sexual impropriety while working at a Markham clinic.

York Regional Police say they began investigating the new allegation on May 2 after a complainant reported being sexual assaulted during a session at a physiotherapy clinic on New Delhi Dr. – near Markham Rd. and Denison St.

A suspect was identified and subsequently arrested on June 20.
Kurian Mathew, 58, of Mississauga, is charged with one count of sexual assault.
Police describe the accused as “a formerly registered massage therapist (RMT)” who has “provided services at clinics in Markham and Mississauga and in clients’ private residences.”
According to the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario website, Matthew was put under court-imposed conditions as a result of a criminal charge on Sept. 17, 2019.
