With experience working for chiropractors and spas, Franklin is glad to be her own boss in the city of Perham.
“I’m so excited to be here at the PACC, the reception I’ve received has been great and I think it’s a great fit for the community center to have some extra health options available,” said Franklin.
Currently enrolled at M-State in Wadena for further education, Franklin plans to increase her hours and services available, following her graduation from the school’s massage therapist program in May.
Services currently offered by Franklin include Swedish, hot stone and deep tissue massages of the 30, 60 or 90 minute variety.
“An important part of massage therapy is listening to the needs and wants of the patient, all of my massages can be personalized to be much more effective at healing ailments,” Franklin said.
In addition to the massage, clients have the option for massages with aromatherapy and soothing ambient music.
Possible future plans for Franklin include corporate-style massage; where a massage chair is brought to a business and employees can be treated to a massage at their place of work.
“Corporate massage would be something I’d like to get into; the massage chair is simple to bring with on the road and there isn’t much else to transport,” Franklin explained.
Similar to corporate massages, day or group events are also possibilities Franklin has considered.
“It could just be a handful of friends looking to pamper themselves one day or a group looking for some added relaxation and stress reduction,” said Franklin. “This would be another simple way to be able to work with clients and make the experience even more pleasant.”
Franklin has established a Facebook page, “Massage Therapy at the PACC,” where more information can be found.
Appointments can be booked via phone by calling the PACC at (218) 346-7222 or Rhonda’s personal line at (218)-234-0377. She can also be reached by email for more information at [email protected].
Senior discounts are also available by calling and setting up an appointment.
Franklin’s current hours are Mondays, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.; Wednesdays, 1-6 p.m.; Thursdays, 1-5 p.m.; and every-other Saturday, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
