The massage therapist who sued Kevin Spacey for sexual assault has died.
According to court records obtained by the New York Post’s Page Six gossip column, legal representatives for the American Charm actor submitted a “notification of statement noting complainant’s death” in the federal case on Tuesday, declaring they were informed on 11 September that the therapist had actually “just recently passed”.
“No additional details or information have actually been given to Mr. Fowler’s counsel, but Plaintiff’s counsel specified they intended to notify the Court with additional details at an appropriate time in the future,” the filing stated, describing Spacey by his real name, Kevin Fowler.
The massage therapist declared he was attacked by the star two years ago throughout a session in Malibu, California, when the 60-year-old supposedly grabbed his hand twice and directed it to his genital location.
Spacey also presumably tried to kiss him, attempted to touch him wrongly, and asked to perform a sex act on the therapist– at which point the guy reportedly got away the room.
The lawsuit may still be continued by officials representing the alleged victim’s estate following his passing.
Back in July, sexual misconduct charges against Spacey were stopped by a Massachusetts prosecutor when accuser William Little decreased to affirm at a pre-trial hearing. The disgraced House of Cards actor still deals with six allegations of sexual attack in the U.K. in between 1996 and 2013.
