Massage therapy questions?

1. What are the requirements to become a massage therapist in California?
2. Must you have a license? Permit? Certificate?
3. What type of training is involved?
4. How much does a massage therapist make an hour?
5. What are the pros and cons of this profession?
I don't give a shit if it's not a good job. I didn't say I was making my life off this. They're just question.

I know a girl that took this, and 7 years later, she has not found a job.
She has tried health clubs, but they pay very little.
If you are good, you can work indipendent at a health club - they will take half of what your client pays you.
Ex: 30 dollars for a massage, you get 15 dollars.
You won't have them lining up at a club.
You might be lucky to get 1 every hour.
You have to buy your own oils and supplies.
On a rainy day, if no one shows up, you won't make money for that day.

She is now going to school for nursing......
