membrane sweep and a reflexology at 40 week ?

Hello every one im 39 weeks tomoz and im having a membrane sweep next friday and ill be 40 weeks i was jw how affective do you think this will be and if it will be only good ? after my midwife has finished doing the membrane sweep on the same day im going to a reflexology for some foot rub which is suppose to help bring on labour or something has any one had this done before if so how well did it work for you ?
and do you think if i have both of them done on the same day do you think it should work and be very affective i was also thinking of eating lots of pineapple and go for a long walk and i also drink rasberry leaf tea ? x

I had the membrane sweep and I had my baby within 24 hours but I was already dilated 4cm and having some contractions.

The #1 way to bring on contractions, no lie, is nipple stimulation. This lets off a normal hormone into your body called oxytocin. Pitocin, which is used to induce labor and cause contractions is a direvative of oxytocin. Nipple stimulation was used in the hospitals in the old days but the doctors didn't like it because they couldn't measure how much oxytocin the client was recieving and they couldn't control when the baby would come. You know how much they like to control delievery now. Honestly my doctor also gave me the same advice and we learned all the information about it in nursing school.

How to stimulate your nipples: lightly pinch them, rub them, pull them from the outer edge of your aveola into towards your nipples. Really work them good and keep doing it and don't stop!!
