I did Not Hit Any Last Night But Was Drinking with a couple friends last night and one of them gave me a good rundown on The Club scene here. Maybe I Will explain this better in another thread As I do Have Some Good News To Post Here. Last Night about 7.30 P.M. Or Show I flagged down a Taximetro To Find at least one Casa De Cita. There were 3 but actually 4 Girls there. The 3 I talked too were dark and skinny the one with Like 36 D Type Juggs was The Darkest and from Veracruz. That 4th Girl Was behind the door of a white sheet blocking the view of her. All I saw is Her Face. Why She Was Not Avaible... Who Knows??? OK The Hottest one there was Ingrid. I could not figure the spelling of what the other girl wrote. You Enter The Place from the street and walk like down a pathway where a few small houses are connected to each other. What you should do is ask your concierge or desk man at your hotel what the best nightbclubs are for getting girls. (Ask about 'prostitutas', but do it discreetly). Also, remember to check the local yellow pages for 'Clubes Nocturnes'. They should have a directory in your room.

I'm sorry to hear that Club Cascada is closed. This was a fairly upscale place that had Polynesian decor and a thatched roof. All of the waiters wore black vests and bowties. The club served only wine (no beer). The girls here were pretty good looking. It was classy and so were the girls. The Matre D's name was Miguel and he was always willing to fix me up with the women.

I'm not sure of the spelling of Club Nohay Nohay. It might be Nohi Nohi. Who knows ? If you don't pronounce it exactly, a lot of times they won't understand you.

Nohi Nohi was a lower class club. (Like a working class locals bar). Club Cascada was a mid range, classier joint. I was told that there are more expensive, classier places than Cascada in town.

The best cabbie (Taxista) that I found in town was named Donaldo. He was nicknamed El Gauracho and was originally from Veracruz. He knows all the action in town. His cab had El Gauracho on the side. You might drop his name around town to find out if he is still working.

You also might want to try the male concierge at Hoteles Montejo on Paseo Montejo. He was most helpful.

The only other club I know of is Hotel Chacmool. I was warned to stay away from it because it has a rough crowd. The concierge told me this. My friend had gone there and had a good time but he is one big dude (6 ft. 4 and 270 lbs.). It is essentially a strip joint where you can take the dancers to the back room. Be very careful if you go there...they don't seem to like gringos but my friend is so big and he went there enough that they ended up liking him.

Hi Ken Thanks For the info... I am in Merida now... Will Try To hit a few of these clubs in about 90 minutes or so.... Alright I am here until Sunday.. I already have My ADO Ticket bought back to Cancun. I did buy a bunch of Yucatan Papers today. Only two had ads for Sex Stuff. One had the ads pretty good the other was a lot less for sure. I saw a bunch of massage ads but I think most of them are for the girls to come to your place. Probably some of them are where you can go to there place but I must call those ads up first.....Maybe I do that tommorrow If I have time.... Prostitution in Merida is alive and well. It is simply more discreet. Merida is very Catholic and very religious, but prostitution is very tolerated as long as it is not advertised. I've never had any trouble, had a great time there, and have never heard of anyone having trouble.

As was mentioned, there is no centralized red light district (called Boystown) such as in border towns and I could find no brothels. However, one simply needs to go to a nightclub to locate a working girl. Working girls in nightclubs see the doctor regularly and have to be minimum age of 20.

A list of nightclubs (called "Clubes Nocturnes" in Spanish) may be found in the local yellow page telephone directory. Generally, these nightclubs charge an entrance fee of anywhere from $2-$10. Both men and women are admitted and the club usually has a band on seforum.xxxe for entertainment. You can easily spot the working girls who are sitting alone by themselves. Some may even be dancing on the floor. Some will approach you or feel free to sit down with her if she's alone. If you can't find the girl you like, tell the Maitre D' what kind of girl you are looking for and he'll bring you one.

There is no sexual activity on the premises of the nightclub. In order to participate in this with the girl you've chosen, you need to first negotiate a deal with the girl to take her out of the club. The first expense is the bar fine which can usually be $20-$50 depending upon the club. The girl gets a cut of this (probably half). She may expect a tip after the session. I would ask in advance. I've tipped $20-$30 after a 1 1/2 hour session and $50 for an all nighter at my hotel.

The girl may go with you to a nearby hourly motel or back to your hotel. It's up to her. The taxi driver will find the hourly motel for you and wait outside.
You may also need to tip the motel security guard $1 on the way out.

Some recommendations are:

1. Club Nohay Nohay (spelling ?). I am spelling this phoenetically since I'm unsure of the exact spelling. All Spanish speaking folks here (no English), cheap beer, young girls, cheap prices. Right next door to a motel. I paid $2 cover, $20 bar fine, and $30 tip for 1 1/2 hours of great sex with a 20 year old hottie.

2. Club Cascada. More upscale. Some English spoken here. $5 cover, $50 bar fine, and $50 tip to a 25 year old blonde girl for an all nighter.

A great hotel to stay at that lets you bring in girls is Hotels Montejo on the Paseo Montejo. Just play like you are boyfriend and girlfriend and nobody will ask.

The prices in Merida seem to be about half or less than Cancun.

Hi Knotsure And BJ I will be in Merida next month for a few days. Will Also stay in Progreso for one night too. Will visit nearby Campeche too. Also be doing the pyramids too. Thinking of Doing Edzna by Campeche too. Now sorry Guys I have been of this site for a long time but Now also I noticed cause of rising interst rates in Mexico are up. The peso is now like 11.50 To the dollar more or less. Will this still be like this in june? If So Great. Actually I will try to post this in another thread somewhere. Again I need as much info on The scene in merida,Progreso and Campeche.. Also Guys careful about The Transexuals hanging out by The ADO Bus Station in Merida....

Was just in Merida a couple of weeks ago and found the information that BJRodman gave to be very accurate. I saw the same street walkers on the road from the air port into the down town. Basically they seemed to show up at 8 or later and were out anytime that I happened that way from that time onward.

I stopped and picked one of these girls up one night. My spanish is limited but got my desire across and got the girl to agree on a price of 400 Peso for the deed which basically comes to $40 USD.

I spoke with a very nice cabbie one day about the situation in Merida. First off he told me that prostitution is illegal in Merida. He said that there are no Boy Towns or real red light district in Merida. He mentioned the girls on the road to the airport. He also said that there were a few small houses scattered around town with three or four girls in each house that provided services. He said tht the going rate was 600 Pesos at these houses or roughly $60 USD. He offered to take me to one of these houses so I could see what it was like. I took him up on the offer with the understanding up front that I would probably not be using the girls services at that price. He said no problem, he got no money for taking people there.

He drove me a mile or so west of the central square to a small house in a neighborhood that looked like pretty much all the others (I have no idea how to tell anybody how to get there). When we got there I got out and asked him to stay while I rang the door bell. There were three girls working in the house. They were average looking at best. One of the girls spoke some english and said that services were full service for 600 Peso. I wasn't interested for that price and excused myself.

In short Merida is certainly not a place one goes for fun of this sort. If you happen to be in town on business then drive out by the airport and pick up one of the street walkers out that way to fill your needs.

Hey BJ I heard there is a place in Merida with Girls called El Diamante. I also heard there is Ads for girls in the local Merida Paper but most of them just come to your hotel. You Can Not go to their place. I would be careful about some of THE SWS on the streets of Merida because some of them are Dudes. What else Did you notice on Merida that Us Mongers should know? Just visited Merida. I have seen some posts asking for information on Merida. I have some information that may be helpful even thugh I didnt have the oppertunity to sample the action.

First Merida is not very Tourist oriented. So you dont see SW hanging out around a central area of tourist hotels as I have in the coastal cities that Americans typically go to. Merida seems to be relatively safe from everything that I have heard. Those tourists that you see are largely Europeans and south American's.

I heard that their are houses with FS available in Merida. However I don't read spanish or speak it well enough to find out about this.

I did see SW on the main road from the airport on the south side of town. In the evening 9 to 10 pm I saw about 10 or more SW scattered along the road about two thirds of way from airport to central Merida, to close to center of Merida. Several I saw were 7 or highr. Some were provocatively dressed.

At 6 am in the morning I saw 4 or 5 still out. Around middle of day I didnt see any so evening seems best time. SW are standing alone on corners that aren't bus stops, give waves if you drive by slowly multiple times, and may have sexy dresses, show some cleavage etc. Saw one dresssed in leaher boots and miniskirt. Wondrous thighs. Circumstances and lack of spanish skills prevented me from sampling action. I hope this meager information is useful to someone.
