Milford police: 5 massage parlors issued stop-work orders - CT Post

MILFORD — Five massage parlors in Milford were issued stop-work orders Wednesday from the State of Connecticut Department of Labor.


Ginko Health Spa at 522 Boston Post Road, VIP Health Spa at 232 Boston Post Road, Merritt Massage at 465 Bridgeport Ave., Lotus Foot Spa at 67 Turnpike Square and Salubrious Spa at 517 New Haven Ave. were ordered to temporarily stop business.


Staff members of the State of Connecticut Department of Labor conducted unannounced inspections alongside Milford police at 13 massage parlors throughout the city.


Five of those parlors had various violations that results in the issuance of the stop-work orders — but there was no further information from police on what these violations were.


These orders prohibit the establishments from conducting any business until they become compliant with the Connecticut Department of Labor.
