mobile reflexology chair

hi, i am a mobile reflexologist, and i have a mobile couch which is heavy and a bit big, i would like to know what other people use?
i would like some ider's before i buy a new couch/stool or chair??

I've got a lafuma reclining chair, its really comfy. The only thing I've found is when you recline it, you can feel like your going feet over head! no-one has actually done this yet thank god!

I along with many other Reflexologists on here, use a Lafuma recliner - it is fab, really easy to fold out, lightweight and easy to carry and comes with a bag for storage/transportation. My clients really like it as it is so comfortable to lie on during a treatment.
They are quite expensive - about £100 but there are lots of places where they make similar chairs now - I know Argos did a much less expensive one that one of my friends bought and it virtually identical to my Lafuma.

Hi everyone

Just de lurking. I can endorse what everyone else has said about the La Fuma chair. I passed AOR and BRCP exams in November and have just started as a mobile reflexologist. I bought the chair at the beginning of the course in Sept 2006 and I also bought the carry bag to put it in. It is not too heavy either.

All my clients, 60+ for the course and my new clients absolutely love the chair and everyone asks where I got it from.

I also met someone while doing my course who had had her chair for 12 years. They are expensive but the springing can be replaced and they are well worth the money.

Well, I have a 'lafuma-lookalike' from Argos, and its fab.
Most of my colleagues use lafuma's too - BUT we have all had at least one client who actually doesnt feel safe in them, and I know that one of my colleagues went and purchased a massage table.
im lucky, I have a massage table, lafuma type chair AND a porta-ped (from Beautelle). My clients have differing preferences, but I guess its down to what you want to carry.

I have tried these at college, for the client I found it pretty comfortable but as the therapist I found it a little awkward. Has anyone eles found this?

Yes, I'm with you on the Lafuma. I love it for ease of carrying and comfort to the client (I tried on friends and family, both massage couch & lafuma and all agreed lafuma was more comfy). But I do find it awkward as the therapist. I'm never sure if it's because I'm tall that I have the difficulty. I purchased the stool, but didn't find that any better so use my gas stool which does go low, plus I also find the chair tends to drop as the treatment goes on and i'm forever trying to lift it slightly. If anyone has any suggestions, I would be greatful.

I have a Lafuma chair, I did originally but a cheaper copy from woolworths/argos (cant remember which) but it didn't recline far enough for the clients feet to be at the right height for me to work on. I've since invested in a lafuma chair and I love it!! It's great to work on and so far the people who have tried it like it!
