I can't believe that some mpa actually have the nerve the ask me for the money up front. I'll be on my stomach and ask for a nude. 40 dollars please, can you get it. I have to get up, go into my pockets, get the cash and pay. Talk about a turn off. It spoils my mood. Maybe I'm over reacting.

Sure it's inconvenient, but if you are an unfamiliar face to the MPA or her employer she's just being cautious. Perhaps she's been stiffed by previous clients who agreed to a 40 or 60 ride and only coughed up 20.

If it happened on a repeat visit, I'd be more put out.

If you're a first-timer, it does seem appropriate to settle services and price face-to-face, before you lie down and she starts work. It's not really an uncommon business model.

I've had MPA's late for MY appt coz their previous client didn't want to pay, and they had to "negotiate."

My suggestion with a new MPA is placing some cash where they can see it. It's puts their mind at ease and may prevent those awkward moments you hate

I prefer to pay before the session. I once had a session with some ignorant c-u-n-t who tried to sneak in her friend to steal my wallet while she was massaging my back. Ever since then I always pay before.

I'm with the threadstarter and I'm a vet. When someone asks me for the bread upfront and they force me to stand up butt naked to retrieve the cash, their tip just went out the window.

Put the money on the little shelf over the sink. I always do, even in my favourite MP's. That way the attendant is reassured, and you don't have to worry about fishing around for your wallet at the end of the massage. (Personally, I like to be ready in the waiting room when my wife comes to pick me up.)

Sometimes, after a good massage (or series of dances at a SC), my mind is not on money, I am just in that wonderful relaxed state. The MPA needs to remind me then.

This is partly why I just get the amount of cash from the ATM I need. Hobby and Timmy Hos are the only things I need cash for. Everything else is plastic with a PIN.

It also stops me from thinking with the small head and getting expensive services I cant afford... and helps when the chinese MPA peeks into my wallet when I'm about to pay her "how much is XXX?" "Well how much do you have?"

I'm with the pissed-off guys.

I've only been asked to pay up front in the low-end Asian places, or by girls new to the better places.

Just sets the wrong tone to me when the chick asks for the money up front.

It is rather unfortunate that there are some bad apples (clients) out there who did not pay for the services rendered at the end of the session.

Just last month alone, two of my regular MPAs had ran into this kind of situation.

So, if you were new and not known to the MP or the MPAs, then it is rather likely that they may ask for the money up front.

I've never been asked by the attend for fees up front (I guess I look way too trustworthy??) but I agree that it would start the session with the wrong mood.

If it really is preferred that payment should be first then maybe Utopia have the right idea by collecting the total amount at the door. That way you are showered and prepped when the MPA arrives and payment has already been forgotten.

Actually, I think that is my preference as the final 'hug, kiss, come again' seems that much more real. Much better than a 'hug, kiss, come again, that will be $120 please'.
