MT for Chiropractor employment approach

I'm a terrible writer.  I was hoping the someone here would have a nice proposal idea for a chiropractor.  I picked up some resume paper and envelops and would like to send out an introduction letter and resume to all the chiropractors in my area.  I've tried meeting them in person, but they are usually way too busy to speak to me.  I figured if I sent out my introduction then made a personal appearence they would be more apt to speak to me.  Or at the very least be apt to set up an interview with me.  I'm not looking for anything fancy, just that i'm new and have realistic expectations.  Thank you.

I think that a letter and a resume should be good enough.  They should,  at the very least,  keep your resume on file.Are you trying to get hired at Chiro office that already has a MT or are you trying to get in somewhere that doesn't have any MT's yet?I would take two different approaches.If they already have a MT, they may not be interested in hiring anyone else.  They will probably keep you on file or you could offer to be a fill-in.  If they don't have a MT in the office you may want to send your information and then do a follow up call and try to schedule a meeting with the office to discuss what you want to offer them.  Once they see some information about you , they may be more interested.  Some offices don't have the room for MT's, so you could also set up some type of referral system too.Good luck!

I just went out in person...the power of eye to eye was very strong for me. It did take some time to actually get offers though....if you do decide to go by try to pick off-hours so you can actually speak to the doctor(usually mid to late morning)....and it won't hurt to have a few prepared answers as to how massage can compliment the adjustment.

Not being much of a creative writer myself, I found 2 books that have helped, both from Kinko's!  How to Say It at Workand Business Letters For Busy People. I would also suggest using SpellCheck to show you are able to pay attention to detail.     Good "luck."

a lot of people might disagree with me but I got started with chiros. by doing the meet and greet and then if I liked them I would offer a demo or free massage for them.I found that if they can see first hand how your work can benifit their clients. Then  they are much more willing to give you a try.Also after they sent some one I would always call them to let them know my findings and to see if they could notice a difference in their client.and then a nice thank you for putting their trust in youfor their clients soft tissue needs.That should do the trick

I work with a chiropractor, and have for 2 years. In that time I have seen 230 clients. Alot of them still with me.I know that chiropractic offices are popping up all over. So maybe search for a new one. Working together seems to work really well for us. We refer patients to each other, and work in the same office together. As seperate business people. Take in a resume' and ask to set up an appointment at there convience. If you would like to know anymore about my operation give me a holler.
