Muse advertising on facebook?

I don't know about anyone else but I find this kinda funny. I'm on facebook and imagine my surprise when I see an ad for muse. Think facebook knows just what kind of massage is being offered?

Facebook put in place targeted advertising technology based on cookie tracking . What this means is that the muse ad is not only hitting your facebook session because you're a male between the ages of 22-55 who lives in toronto. But it's also hitting you because using their cookie tracking technology they've noticed that you like to hit massage parlour websites often and hey look, Muse is a paying customer that happens to be in the massage parlour business in your city.

in that case they noticed you cruise online pharma companies that sell viagra and cialis and that you must be wanting to put them to some use. Since the scene is dead in TB they put the ad as a subliminal suggestion.

This is a great case study of target marketing at work. I have always thought that the conventional marketing approach by MPs in TO in general can be a whole more effective by deploying a more targeted approach in their advertising.

Just one suggestion. Focus more on the boomer group. These are my cohorts a lot of whom have been experiencing "denial of service" in the home front because of that change of life thing. This is a rich niche because these are the people who have the needs and the financial wherewithal to meet their needs. They just need some good direction. I remember my wondering in the desert for over a year because of the crummy advertising in general until I found massageplanet.net.

Facebook must really know me! I got two ads. One was for the Keg, which I love, while the other right underneath was for weightwatchers, which I need.

No, this isn't.

Or at least, it isn't necessarily happening because of cookies.

The web browser I use for my Facebook activity isn't the one I use for "massageplanet.net-like" activity.

I was seeing Muse ads quite a bit on Facebook all the same. Almost certainly it's because I fall into the "22-55 Male in Toronto" category on Facebook.

I see a lot more ads on Facebook selling bankruptcy loan consolidation; that's certainly not because I have relevant cookies kicking around!

What is amusing is that the folks at Muse evidently concluded it was worth spending money on advertising on Facebook!
