Please note - the following quote was by a member who has since removed himself from our boards:

Due to our more staunch society, I think it may be possible when people first begin to get massage, they are awakened to "touch" that confuses the system at times. I would suppose that after a few visits with your therapist, be it male or female, your body will begin to work this out and you're sense of "sexuality" on the table, will diminish, and you will begin to be able to enjoy the massage in a more positive way.
When the mind begins to accept the massage for it's therapeutic work, I find the client gets even better benefit.
I have been told by a rolfer, that there are certain rolfing sessions which actually help one's ability to "express themselves" more openly with their partner. Though, to be quite clear, it is not something that would become or should become an expression on the massage table.
Keeping sexual comments, inuendos and outbursts out of the session, is always of utmost importance during massage.
Welcome to this wonderful world of bodywork.
Together with the deep breathing and the occasional groan, I have outward signs ... I need to find out if this was a reaction to my MT being female. I tried male MT’s. I had the same reaction. It’s the massage, not the MT.
