My Pomeranian & Shiatsu just mated...will they have puppies?

First off please no negative feedbacks. I don’t need people telling me that I should have got them fix. Here’s the story... I originally bought a female black & white pure breed Pomeranian then 6 months later I bought a black and white male Pomeranian. I’ve had them for 5 years now and my female Pomeranian has never let the boy mate her.

All of a sudden my brother buys his lady a female shiatsu 5 months ago. I told him to spade her…apparently he didn’t (I thought he did and I’m out of town so I wouldn’t know that she’s in heat) or else I would have never let them two by each other while she was in heat. So my mom calls me today to tell me that she caught my male Pomeranian and the shiatsu mating... If dogs mate, is it almost certain she will get pregnant? AND why hasn’t my two Pomeranian mated after 5 years?

I dont want to fix my Pomeranians because I wanted them two to have puppies. I take them for regular check up's and I knew what I was getting into by not fixing them. My brother & his Girfriend came to visit my mom while I was out of town. I left my dog with my mom because she asked me too. She loves them. I dont want to fix my dogs I told my brother to fix his dog. I hope that answers those questions.

Dogs and Sweedish massagers don't tend to procreate.

The Shih Tzu can still be spayed and if she is pregnant, the pregnancy will be terminated. Get your male neutered.

First of all what is a Shiatsu? sounds like a Japanese car. and why didn't you get your dog fixed why did your brother have to do it. If female was in heat yes it is possible fo her to be pregnant, and no it is not a certain thing that just because they mate one time their will be pups. I have been breeding poodles for over 30 yrs now and when i do a breeding the male and female are allowed to stay together for 3 days. so mating does take place.

why did you brother have his gf dog around when it was in heat, and when you go out of town board your dog.

You should have gotten them fixed. I know you don't want to hear it, but it is what a responsible dog owner SHOULD do.

Perfectly possible that the shih-tzu is pregnant.

Get the pregnancy aborted.

As for your pomeranians, the reason that they haven't mated after 5 years is because you have been very, very lucky.

Don't tempt fate. Get both (or at least one of them) neutered.
