Names?

Hey guys!

I was reading through the Business name sticky, and wasn't really finding what I was looking for.

I'm looking at starting a massage school/clinic, and would like it to start with A or B - to be higher up in the phone book listings. I can't seem to THINK of anything! Everything around here is "Body"-something - so it would have to be above that in the alphabet. Any Ideas?

My personal Biz is called "Highland Bodyworks"... so something Scottish related? Just and idea.

ANY suggestions Welcome!!

Hmmnnn. . . something with the word "Celtic" might be approriate. Unfortunately a "C" word is till behind all those "B" entries in the phone book. Perhaps a map of Scotland might turn up an interesting Scottish sounding name that begins with A or B. :undecided:

Just out of curiosity, do you use a Scottish or Celtic them throughout your advertising? I do. I have a Scottish castle photo on my business cards and Scottish and Irish posters on my office walls. I also have a lot of Celtic massage music that I really love. 8)

I thought Alba (being gaelic for Scotland).... Alba something or other. Not sure!

Highlander, I play highland pipes, and actually teach at my office as well as doing massage! At my old office most of the photos on the walls were of Scotland. And I do have a bunch of Celtic themed massage music I like and play a lot. Started learning harp this year, to incorporate music therapy at some point.

I too thought you had to be above everyone these in the phone book. But a name that states who YOU are and, most importantly, the verbage within the ad will draw the calls

I used to do 12 hour shifts of hidious boring assembly and manufacturing. I would entertain myself for hours doing this. Not so much fun now that life is more interestinng...............a dictionary would be helpful. Does anyone have a real live dictionary anymore?

Phone book listings are less and less relevant as people increasingly turn to the internet when searching for information. Name your school/clinic whatever you like, then promote it well.

But if you want to be the first listing, you could try "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH! Massage School and Clinic"

I feel that the Yellow Pages are not that important anymore. More and more people go right to the net to do their searches. I noticed you have a nice website ... do you also have a Yellow Pages ad? Which one do you get more business from?

Also, sticking with my online theory, you are going to be able to give much more specific information about your school/clinic on a website than you will in a Yellow Pages ad. Plus, in my opinion, if you want to get noticed in the Yellow Pages, you must have an actual ad - not just a listing. And in that case the name does not matter because you will create an eye catching ad.
