hi,

i will at phuket next saturday till tuesday.. need u all de help, i wanner get some nice food... like tomyam n seafood which is cheap. n i would like to have some info about massage. where have nice n cheap massage ???

Try Chaing Rai or No 6 restaurant for good cheap Thai food. Down the end of Soi Tiger off Bangla Rd.

Head for Soi Kebsab for massages. You'll be spoilt for choice.

Depends on what else you want to do. If you are staying in Patong then you can hang out at the beach during the day and party at night. Patong is full of bars, clubs, and restaurants so it's easy to just walk around and see what you like. Do keep in mind Patong is pretty much all geared up for tourists so it's not exactly "Phuket" if you want to see the real side of the place. Good to party though.

You can also try out Surin, Kata, and Karon beach as well.

You can also join a speed boat day trip tour to visit some of the surrounding islands.

Can also venture out of Patong and have a look at Phuket town.

As HKT Boy says in his post above...........depends on what you like to do.
Off the top of my head there is Elephant trekking, snake farm, Phuket Zoo, Fantasia, Go-Karting, shooting range, bungy jumping, various day or half day trips to other islands including snorkelling, canoeing at Phang Na, and the island tour that can be arranged by your hotel if you want is worthwhile. A day trip to Phi Phi island is usually considered a must for newbie visitors and can be had for 1600 baht upwards from the roadside kiosks. Be prepared to bargain for good deals on any trips. Just be happy with what you pay.
A lot of the above is also dependant on the weather as the island trips really need decent weather to be a good experience.

As for nightlife, Bangla Road is the main centre of attraction for tourists. Check out the lady boy soi opposite Shipwreck bar, wander up Soi Eric and meet Nicke from this forum at Mai Thai bar. He will introduce you to other board members who will probably suggest other activities not mentioned so far in this thread.
