Need help with a Direct Mailing to Accident prospects

Hello,

I have a way to send direct mail letters to people who where involved in recent accidents. I would like to know if any of you have a sample letter or one that you would not mind sharing that you may currently be using to market to these types of people?

Any help would be appreciated.

I must add that if someone considered me a prospect because I had recently been involved in an accident, I would be sure to never use their services. Just a personal opinion.

Actually the reason I am wanting to send them the information is that alot of my patients who come in for the chiropractor I work for all always want to get a massages to go witht heir adjustments especially since it is another service that is covered by their med pay.

I myself had a car wreck a year ago and also recieved them through my insurance. I dont see nothing wrong with it as long as the person has a legitamate need. Also all I had to rely on was my med pay as I dont have normal health insurance.

The truth is that most people who find out about it are more then happy to do it. Also I only do it if there is a medical need. Not just to help fill my pocket. Most individuals do not even know that they have medical coverage through their auto insurance in the first place. I didnt know I did. Not all even do bu thte ones that do should take advaneforum.xxxe of a service they pay for. Again if you pay extra for it for your insurance and you have a lagitamate need (not desire) I do not see any problem with it.

The decision is ultimatly up to the individual and most of the time they are for it. The few that dont need it or I turn away are not upset about it at all. But again each person is different.

If I just got a random letter from someone who seemed to have no connection to my current care, it would seem like a weird invasion of privacy. BUT --

Are these prospects already clients of the chiro you work with? In that case it wouldn't put me off to receive a letter like that -- I would feel like the chiro's office was just trying to take better care of me and offering services for recovery. So you might take care to mention the name of the chiro office clearly in any letter you send.

Once you get it written, you may want to post it here, as we have a number of people who are excellent wordsmiths who could help tweak it to a state of ultra-professionalism.

Are you marketing to your chiro's patients or using this to generate new cases to your practice?

If the intended market for your letter are already patients of your chiro, why isn't s/he already referring those clients to you?

If the intent behind your letter is to generate new cases to your practice, I have to agree with SunsetSeniorMassage in that this really sounds like "ambulance chasing." IMO, you'd be better off targeting personal injury attorneys, osteopaths, naturopaths, etc in an effort to begin forming strategic partnerships with the intent of cross-referring.

In any case, I wish you success with this endeavor.

Accident Letter

I'm not positive that people would openly share a letter like this. It takes a lot of effort to write the copy to a letter especially for one that gets a response or ROI.

Copywriting is a special skill...

For the letter that you would write... do not talk about the accident, but how you have achieved results with accident victims. You do not want to target or speak to their recent accident but speak in generalities so they aren't questioning how you received their specific details.

Do not talk about you or use "I" statements. Speak to your audience, you'll feel better, you'll see results, you'll heal quicker... etc etc.

John (y2m) has given some great advice. I totally agree with him.

Letters like these are much more successful when you are able to get your reader's wheels turning (so to speak). If you make it too obvious that you know about their recent injuries, it could be a major turn off. Make your letter seem like a nice coincidence.
