I have read most of the threads on this forum so I hopefully won't be askin any questions that have been already asked on this forum. First off I am new to this forum. This forum i must say a great thing. I will be travelling to Phuket from Dec. 3 - Jan 5 by myself. My first question is where is a good place to meet people to do things with and hang out with. I am from Canada if that helps. Where do most of the tourists hang out???

I have a place booked to stay till Dec. 28 after that i don't know where i am staying. Is this an ok thing will I be stilll be able to find a place to stay at??? And I am contemplating where to spend new years i was debating between Patong, Raleigh Beach and Ko Phi Phi. Wut do u guys think???

As for gurls i am into young gurls between the ages of 18-21 where is the best place to meet ones like this in Phuket.

I am stayin in Karon beach how long and how much is the ride to Patong???

You can meet many board members at Mai Tai Bar, looks like quite a few will be there through dec.
Bangla rd will be filled with tourists, as you can see from the bunch here it attracts people from all over the world, odd people but still

Can only say you should be in Patong for new years, in my opinion you should skip Karon alltogether
Can't recall how long it takes from Karon to Patong, nor what any fare would be, pretty sure others here can be more helpful in that area.

It is high season so any cheap good hotel central in Patong might be hard to find, think it should be no problem finding something a couple minutes away though.

For meeting girls Patong is the best, you will find many in that age...or at least that look that age

Lion - first of all, welcome.

Just wanted to say that Patong is for sure the place to be, for all your requests. BUT the hotels are very, very busy at new year (and also twice the cost that they are at other times) and I strongly suggest you try to get something booked before you leave home. Otherwise you'll be spending too much of your precious holiday time trailing from one hotel to the other, looking for a room.

If you're there by the beginning of December, you'll have more time to wander round checking out hotels and you probably will find something.

I am checking out of the C&N hotel and Resort on December 29th where I have two suites. They may be available from 29th, but as Paddy says New Year is a huge opportunity to exploit the poor tourist and prices are very very high.

Last year I made a quick trip to Patong in high season, went to my favourite hotel even for a regular the price was over the top.
So I spoke to a BG and she said try Douang Jai House, on Sai Namyen Rd.
It is near the biker pub wild west I think, barber next door and just up the road from the late night food area (see your favourite BGs with her hair down and maybe Thai boyfriends in tow).
Good very cheap food there, menu is in english/thai.
Rate about 700bt, NO JOINER, no pool, but rooms are clean and the TV channels are terrible.
But all up cheap and a good location if you have a bike or dont mind a 20 minute walk to Bangla.

welcome to the board, i stayed in karon last time i was in phuket,which hotel are u staying in?i ask this because it may not be girl friendly !karons ok but a bit quiet ,there are bars there and girls, but u cant beat patong/bangla !come to the mai tai bar in soi eric and introduce yourself!ill be there from 9 dec-- (checkout the live cam (click on the mai tai logo top right of page!)

hi m8,the first thing i would do when you get there is sort a hotel for the remailnder of your stay as hotels will be packed.
meet up at mai thai bar there will be plenty of us around.
karon is about 10 minute tuktuk away.
plenty of girls of all ages.
i will be at mai thai from 22 december,feel free to meet me and my mate for a wander around,and there will be loads of us.

If you are looking for a younf BG then there is no specific bar.. just browse and see one 1 you like. MTB will always be a good starting point if you want to meet drinking buddies
