Ok...  I am very new to massage therapy...  I am a nail technician and have been working at a spa for about 1 month (http://www.somataspa.com).I will be moving within the next month and will venture out to open my own spa.I am researching massage therapy, and all the different techniques and services that can be provided.I was wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions for me.My website (which is still under construction, and I will not purchase the domain until I actually get started on opening the spa) but - as of now- it is http://esalispa.tripod.com(Esali - Italian for exhale)  Any suggestions are appreciated!  Popular treatments? massage? body wraps? scrubs?I really need to know different places available to get reasonably priced products.Thanks all!Danielle

Hi.

I'd say your very best bet is to read through these boards, first the Business section and them over to the Spa section.  

The Business section here has tons of info to get you started.

Once you've read all of that, then you will have a better idea of more specific questions you may have, and I bet anyone her would be happy to answer.

I would reccomend booking some appointments and recieving different types of services...  consider it Research & Development & write it off as a business expense.  This is a great way to learn about different modalities (while you are at it, you can question the therapist working on you as to the training required to perform these different techniques!)
