Chesapeake, Va. – New details have emerged in the six Chesapeake massage parlor busts.
Search warrants say a detective investigated complaints of “sexual” activities taking place in massage parlors located in the city of Chesapeake in early 2015.
The detective conducted hundreds of hours of surveillance on several Chesapeake massage parlors located in the city of and had a consensual encounter with a citizen. The citizen told of a recent massage session where the female gave an inappropriate massage.
During surveillance, the detective observed only male clients and customers entering and exiting the six parlors. The detective also discovered the workers used the businesses as “sleeping quarters,” which violates Chesapeake City code.
Just one day before the raid 5 detectives went undercover into the six different parlors for a 30 minute massage. During the massages, the masseuses inappropriately exposed and touched the detectives, according to the search warrant.
Fourteen women have been arrested after police and Homeland Security served search warrants at several massage parlors in Chesapeake in January 2016.
The businesses are:
Police have been investigating the parlors for approximately one year, and asked for the assistance of Homeland Security approximately six months ago should the investigation grow into federal jurisdiction, according to police spokeswoman Kelly O’Sullivan.
