On March 16, 2020 owners Gina and Rohan Crooks of On the Mend Massage Therapy took a leap of faith on leasing a space for a massage therapy clinic in east Barrie.

On recalling that unusual day she says, “Prime Minister Trudeau was supposed to make an announcement about shutting down the country one hour before we were scheduled to sign the agreement. Well, he was an hour late so we didn’t know the decision until later. It makes for an interesting story,” she laughs, “but we would have taken the leap regardless.”

“We realized we had a unique opportunity to really care for our patients with this Massage Therapy Clinic and to make it super COVID19-ready. We designed the whole clinic with COVID19 in mind. From wipeable chairs, to on-site laundry, and also existing automatic touchless lights in the washroom and easy-to-clean tile flooring.”
