She most likely had her phone hacked or lost it and the scammers have all her client numbers.

True story, one of my Toronto regulars retired back to China after two tours in Canada and sold her Canadian phone and contact list to a new girl. Her successor use the number to connect. In that case, because I know my regular had returned to China, I got suspicious right away and got the true story quick. I can easily see that the number can be sold to crooks who use it to scam or blackmail old customers. Always be careful out there; sometimes getting directly connected with your provider (as opposed to through a well established agency) may not be a good thing.

Not the case. It’s her contacting. Was alerting others who may be more vulnerable. There are background stories to go with it, all unimportant. Asking for an unsecured loan over $5000 is a joke. How many others got the same request?

You missed the central point. This is not some generalized internet scam. This masseuse from Edmonton may only reach out to 3 or 4 clients that know her well and who have the funds. If you are not one of them, then no need to read the post. The post was to warn someone who she might have approached. This is not a widely known or reviewed masseuse.
