New Student

Well I'm week 2 into ITEC IHM and I love it already!! It has to be said, as I've had a big enough moan about my previous college and VCTC and although I've not had much to do with ITEC themselves I'm so pleased with my college it will probably make up for any problems, rather than exacerbate as the previous place...
So I'll be on here plumping you all for info and advice in the near future I don't doubt!!

Practical starts next week, can't wait!!

Has anyone heard of 'reverse reflexes' in the shoulders. My friend has come up with this but I don't think such a thing exists - perhaps someone went too deep and she's nervous about it happening again? She says the muscles get tighter/sorer when they are worked on.

Hi Paul,
I've asked a few people about this and am starting to think I've been sent out for 'tartan paint'. It's a term used by a reflexologist apparently but it was a while ago and you know how these things get distorted with time.

She does state, however that any kind of massage technique to the upper trapezius results in more tension, it increases rather than ease off with more massage. Resulting finally in nausea and sever headache/migraine. I think I'll just avoid this area!!

Reverse reflex as far as reflexology is concerned relates to when, say the right foot shows an imbalance in the left side of the body.
