Makes sense if restricted to houses built after the law went into effect so people can make an informed decision on whether to buy a property based on their parking needs . The new infill subdivisions have become eye sores with 3 and 4 cars per home . Sidewalks are blocked and streets are congested . Not pleasing to the eye and not safe.

I checked the by-law on page 29. I can't understand it on the first read.

What if you have a big house with a huge driveway but just a double garage (let's say the driveway is 3 cars wide side by side, although only 2 cars would actually park side by side cuz, and let's say 6 cars long)?

Grandfathering would allow many cars (only when guests are over), but would the new rules only allow 2 cars for a 2 car garage for this situation?
