Newbie!! How do I set up Xbox Live on my 360?

Right I know I have to subscribe/pay to play on xbox live but HOW do I join? And how do I connect my 360 upto the wireless?

Yes I know I'm a complete Newbie...it's just that after I completed COD recently..Iwanted more LOL

Please exp[lain to me fully in whats and hows or post links for me to read this information.

Make offline account, then make sure you have internet plugged into back of xbox
Press Xbox Guide Button [BIG X] then press join xbox live,
Follow instructions from there.
You need an email and you have to provide personal info,

First of all you have to have a wireless adaptor that plugs into the back of the xbox unless you have a wire that plugs into the internet box.
2nd then on your xbox profile press the xbox button on the controller then there is a preference button which i think you can then set up the internet.

P.S you will have to set it up with a email account.
