how can i comment on the answers people give to my questions? can i answer questions that are already answered? help!
okay i think im doing it right now, thanks yall!!! everyone been a help

If the question is still open (not resolved) you can answer.
If you allow IM or Email and the other person also allows it you can communicate that way. If the person does not allow IM and Email then you can edit your question. Be careful when you edit your question do not use the persons name that is chatting and against the guidelines. When you pick your best answer you can add comments then.
Go to your question
Move your mouse over the pencil icon in the toolbar below your question
Click on "Add details."
Click on “Submitâ€Â￾

when a question is solved people cant answer anymore they can only comment. to comment a question needs to be solved. After 4 hours from making the question the asker can chose the best answer vote it and add some text, if the asker dont it takes 4 days then the question is closed u cant answer anymore and other people can do it for him. when the best answer is chosen, the question is solved. so u can answer questions from somebody else when they are already anwered unless the question is already solved of it passed 4 days, and when u r the asker, u have to wait 4 hours and then u can chose the best answer, give it stars, and add text =)

For comments to answers, you don't directly. YA is not a chat room. You have two options:

1. E-mail or IM the user through their profile.

2. Wait until you pick the BA and add comments for each user. Probably only the Best Answer will see it since they only get a notification.

The ONLY exception is that you can add additional details to your question for clarification of the question. Do not call users by name doing this or it will be deemed chat.

On questions, you can answer any that are still "open". If "in voting" or "resolved", they are closed to answers.
