The Hotel Hacienda de Santiago is decent and very close to the action. It's right across from La Tropa, a block from Adelita's and Chicago Club. That's probably where I would stay.

Of course, there are many, many other choices and you can search for them on several of the monger boards. There's another nice hotel that is right on the east side Revolution that is called Hotel San Diego (or Hotel Sandiego?). It's quite nice and surprisingly quiet, not much more expensive than Santiago, and only a few blocks from la Zona.

The hotels directly in la Zona aren't really that nice although some of the mongers seem to like them. Whatever You Do, Do Not Stay At The Hotel Eduardo. Trust me on this one...
