Nitrogen gas is introduced into a steel container at a pressure of 1.00 atm. Oxygen gas is then put into the same container until the total pressure is 3.0 atm. The two gases then react according to the reaction below producing the theoretical yield of product. What is the partial pressure of the N2O5 gas product when reaction is complete?
2 N2 (g) + 5 O2 (g) >>> 2 N2O5 (g)
The answer is 0.80 atm. Please explain how to get this answer. Thanks!
