Hello all,I hope this message finds everyone well.K...so I'll get right to the point. I've gotten some calls regarding spa parties and I'm really struggling with knowing the right amt. of techs for a certain number of services.  :-/For ex. one caller is interested in hosting a party for 10, svcs. include massage, mini facial and sweet feet treatment.The other caller is interested in hosting a party for approx. 40-60..this is more of a fundraiser. I'll be doing a spa sampler with this group...svcs. being no more than about 10-15 min. long.Obviously, I don't want folks standing around waiting for their svcs. I want this to be beneficial as well as profitable. So...how does one determine the no. of staff needed when parties get bigger than 6??? Help...Pretty Please!!Missy

total # of services requested per class x time per each service class= total tech time neededTTN / duration of event = # of techs per service class

That was elementary You get how many people are having services, you multiple that by the length of the service, adding an extra 5 min per service for change over (or factor change over in your service time)so 60 people with 15 minute service each (saying 12 min and 3 min change) that's 15 hours of service.Then you figure out how many therapists you need  - If the event is only 2 hours, you need 15/2 therapists - 8 therapists.  If it is 5 hours you need 15/5 therapists - 3 therapists.  But for a 5 hr event you need to give people more breaks than for a 2 hour event, so you need to factor in a bigger change over time, probably takes it up to 4 therapists.With 60 people and lots of therapists, you probably also need someone as a co-ordinator, directing people to therapists etc, giving the therapists a chance to get to the bathroom etc.I would also be concerned with "spa sampler" - does it involve water for any of the samples, eg mini manicure, which is just hand massage with product, needing wet towels to wipe off product?  Any need for water and your change over time goes up dramatically, not to mention wet linens....
