Many years ago I was exposed to the phenomenon of variations in posture/pelvic alignment trends in Northern vs. Southern hemisphere populations. This past weekend I had the pleasure of hosting Peter Lelean, MT, from Australia. Peter spent the weekend teaching me his findings regarding the Migratory Fascia Syndrome and its treatment. Along the way he worked with me on a number of clients. As he checked leg length and pelvic asymmetries, he was continuously surprised that most of my clients had a right long leg and right anterior rotated pelvis. This was just the opposite of what he finds as the norm in Australia.
One theory that I remember hearing was due to the venturi effect (http://keithrogershome.com/Chap5Wind.html for example), where water or wind move in opposite directions in each of the hemispheres. This sounds like a job for Google Scholar!
