I am relocating my office as of May 1 and plan on sending clients a postcard, but I'm wondering how much info to include.  I could just send a post card indicating the new address with directions, but I could also include some advertising for gift certificates with Mother's Day approaching, and maybe a coupon as an incentive.  I am interested to hear what have others done.In the near future I plan on adding some spa treatments, and I also plan on raising my rates.  I want to create a new menu of services and fee schedule, but I just want to get through the move at this point!

Pete -If I were more prepared for the new services, I would implement the price change; however I need more time to put things together.  It is a good idea.  If I can put things together before May 1, I'll include that info on the postcard.I'm going to FL on April 6 for a week for a much needed vacation (and here I am thinking I can use that time to put together the above!).  I can post something now in my office indicating the move and the price increase and additional services - details to follow, or something to that effect.Thanks for your input.

Also, why not institute the new pricing WITH the move??  It might allow your clients to adjust to everything at once and actually provide a smoother transition for you...just a thought

I agree.  If this is a possibility, I would work towards it.  

I sent out postcards after I left a spa that I was at.  I included the information of where I would be, when I would be available, and how to contact me.

You may want to send the specials for Mothers day out seperately.  Keep you on everyone's mind.  Two mailings might be better than one.

Definitely agree on implementing new pricing with the move!I'd say if you can figure out what new modalities you will be using, then add them now into your new price list, with a "Coming Soon" next to them.  It would be an additional bit of work, but then people know to be expecting a flyer or postcard or whatnot with the info on those modalities in the near future.  It will be a way to keep your name in front of them without seeming like you are hassleing them with too much mail, I'd think.  Good luck on the move!

I agree and I am working on it.  (I spend way too much time on this computer!!!!)  I just posted under the spa section because I would like to incorporate some easy, add-on treatments that would be lucrative and that don't involve a lot of mess, since I have no water in the office.  Then I'll need to know what to charge for each.If I can figure that out within the next week or so, I could include it on a brochure I'm working on to send out to clients that will include new address, directions, parking info, etc. I could mention spa treatments in general under "Coming Soon" with nothing specific, but announce the rate change for massage treatments now - what do you think?When I have the "add-ons" in place, I could send out a post card announcing them with prices.
